Please check all boxes that apply.

Kitchen

Cleaning products are stored safely out of reach, or in locked cabinets.
Medicines are stored in high cupboards and off counters and windowsills.
Harmful products are stored away from food.
Harmful products, such as drain cleaners and furniture polishes, have safety packaging.
Potentially harmful products stored in their original containers so no one will mistake them for food.

Living Room/Den

Plants are safely out of reach  

Bathroom

All medicines are stored in a locked cabinet or box.
Old medicines are discarded regularly. Medication containers have child-resistant closures and all safety closures are secured properly.
Medicines are always given only to the people the doctor prescribed them for.
Windowsills are free of harmful products. Bathroom vanity is free of beauty supplies.
All medicines are in their original containers.
There is a fresh bottle of Ipecac and activated charcoal at home. (Call the Poison Control Center before administering either substance)

Bedroom

All medicines are kept off dressers and bedside tables.  
All perfumes and cosmetics are out of reach.
All medicines have been removed from unused purses.

Basement/Laundry

 
Soaps, detergents, and cleaners are stored safely.
Disinfectants and deodorizers are stored safely.
Paint is stored safely.

Garage

Instructions on bug sprays and pesticides are carefully read.
Weed killers and fertilizers are in a locked cabinet.
Harmful products are in their original containers and not in soda bottles.
Gasoline and antifreeze are in locked cabinets.
All poisons have child-resistant caps and are in original containers.

The more of these items you can check off, the safer your home will be!! However, even if all these items are checked, you must stay alert, especially with young children in the household.
